In the highest of heavens or the depths of the earth, Through rivers and lakes, below the depths of the sea, Across meadows and valleys, to the peak of the mountain top, The spirit of the Lord is there, He has seen the ends of creation. Through trial and storms, through the surging of the raging waters, Despite sorrow and grief amongst difficult times, To the joy and laughter in seasons of blessings and plenty, With harvest reaped among the first days of spring, The Spirit of the Lord is there, He makes a path for his anointed in the valley of darkness, He parts the waters of the vaults of the sea, Leading His people to a land flowing with milk and honey with His rod and staff, Blessing with an overflowing cup and doing good for His name’s sake. In peace or war, in love and hate, in righteousness and wickedness, Through blessing and cursing, with the obedient and disobedient, The Spirit of the Lord is there in the place of His chosen dwelling, Amongst temples justified and sanctified according to His purpose and grace, In the presence of two or more believers called by the name, Emmanuel! Jehovah-Shammah, the Lord is there amongst His people, The inheritance He has brought up out of the land of Egypt, Who are called by the name of the Lord as His special portion. Praise be to God who is with us! May God have all the glory!
