A Neon Gospel

by Alan Garrigan

(For Colm)

“Man is something that shall be overcome”
Friedrich Nietzsche

Some suckers just want to get high,
Life is infinitely more important,
Literally a chance to live forever,

A fly cannot comprehend space-flight,
A man cannot comprehend the possibility,
Of his own immortality

They shall raise the ashes,
As all convenes into one,

Veritable singularity,

Whatever you call it

Peace comes when you pray
