The Nail-Scarred Hands that Hold Me

by Jason Kirk Bartley

The nail-scarred hands remind me,
of Jesus long ago,
The one who would lay down His life,
so freely we could go.
His mission was clear that He must die at the hands of sinful men,
only to take it back again,
so we could live with Him.
How these nail-scarred hands they hold me,
through the thick and thin,
These nail-scarred hands show the signs of the times,
‘Caused by wicked men.
but willingly they went to show how love would always win.
These nail-scarred hands have showed me the way in which He now calls me His friend.
Friend or foe,
we will all bow at the Savior’s feet.
These nail-scarred hands have mended me,
now I am complete.
