He Looks Down Upon Me

by Jason Kirk Bartley

God looks down upon me,
and tells me what He sees.
A sinner boy,
whom His son forgave and set free.
God’s not here to condemn us,
For our hearts already know
He tries to direct us
If we allow.
He knows the way in which we’ll go.
Many will fall into destruction,
though God has made a way.
Many will love their evil deeds
and cursing throughout the day.
God looks down upon us.
ready to forgive and receive,
but He honors our choices,
If we only believe.
Cry out to the Master.
He already knows your pain.
Call out upon the Son of God,
in mighty Jesus’ name.
He’ll forgive you and transform you,
We make it a little harder than it has to be,
it’s such a daunting task.
Give your heart to your Saviour today,
in His blessings, you’ll bask.
He’ll take your sin away,
If you only ask.
