Children draw near with an innocent heart, Their nature, one willing to love and trust, Showing a simple faith right from the start, Their wide-eyed wonder, both pure and robust. Give them a place safe from all that would harm, Far from the banks of this life’s troubled streams, Where they can grow with no sense of alarm, A place to inspire all their hopes and dreams. Let them stand on the shoulders of giants, So they can gaze upon what lies beyond, Reaching to God with faith and reliance, To construct and fashion a lasting bond. If not, what will be the size of the cost? A price too high if the children are lost.
Matthew 19:14 Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
If I see further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
~ Isaac Newton
