The child lost and full of fright Wanders into the desert searing away her joy Rescued by her King of goodness and light. Her King renews her joy with songs of delight She loves His song yet finds herself coy. The child lost and full of fright Drifts into a sea of treacherous might Afraid to drown in the storm without a buoy Rescued by her King of goodness and light. Her King embraces her with delight Yet she remains ashamed and guilty of joy. The child lost and full of fright Stumbles into a cave, an endless night Never more alone and her hope destroyed Rescued by her King of goodness and light He promises to always be her shining Knight And fill her with hope for He enjoys The child lost and full of fright Rescued by her King of goodness and light.
