Wrapped in my iniquity and covered in the stain of sin, The battle was never mine but His to overcome and win, Now seated in the highest heavens clothed with power from on high, Whose spirit brings freedom and His return is from his going through the sky. Glory, glory, glory to He who bore my loss, Overcoming and victorious His victory on the cross, Glory, glory, glory to He with humanity He shall dwell, Glory to the son of God, the Messiah, Emmanuel! Beaten and abused, treated with contempt from the pigs in the mud, Power in His holy name and the shedding of His blood, Scorned by dogs and scoffed by mockers despite the way His feet would trod, Bearing witness to His triumph as they said, “Surely this is the Son of God!” Glory, glory, glory to He who bore my loss, Overcoming and victorious His victory on the cross, Glory, glory, glory to He with humanity He shall dwell, Glory to the son of God, the Messiah, Emmanuel! So let my heart rejoice and with joyous exaltation sing, Glory to my God who made a way by the name of Christ, the King! Glory, glory, glory to He who bore my loss, Overcoming and victorious His victory on the cross, Glory, glory, glory to He with humanity He shall dwell, Glory to the son of God, the Messiah, Emmanuel!
