The Only One Who Matters

by Jason Kirk Bartley

You may be able to afford the
nicest and best things,
Impressing others with cash and
sparkling diamond rings.
You may have the latest model
and fastest sports car.
Many see you whizzing by and
coming from afar.
You may have the most friends,
and parties, and stuff.
But do you have Jesus?
He is more than enough.
Without Jesus, you haven’t a
thing?
He is the alpha, omega, the soon-
coming king.
Nothing else will matter,
once you have Him within.
He’ll guide you and love you,
when you’ve lost every friend.
He’ll be there to comfort and
lead you everywhere,
When you’ve spent your last dime,
and your car needs repair.
Is your name written down in our
Savior’s book?
You had better search yourself and
take another look,
for everything in this world will
fade away.
You’ll be wishing you had asked
Him to stay.
You see, Jesus is all that matters in
this world of care.
Find Him early and often with your
next prayer.
Someday you’ll need
Him,
when you’re facing death.
He’ll hold your hand as you draw your last breath.
