Ten years and
six months ago
I could barely
stand or sit,
let alone play guitar.
Cancer and chemo
had taken its toll.

Now my fingers flow,
my voice ascends.
How can I express
such gratitude, such love
for this daily breath.
I caress the strings
and raise my song
like a Spring bloom
bursting soil.

His grace unfolds, surrounds.
I will magnify His Name
with every fiber
with every note I have left.
