It is easy to miss
the richness of blessing
within the stillness.
Imagine never knowing
the soothing peace of a mountain
stream or the musical rhythm
as waves pound the beach.

Isn’t that what has happened
in our time? We’ve tuned out
the treasures in silence. 

There is tenderness 
and gentleness
of a message 
God longs to share.
For He delights in giving
grace and mercy
words that change today
or every day.
There is peace 
that surpasses understanding,
waiting for everyone
who wants to listen.
