by Lori Wall-Holloway
I am in the midst of a sea of troubles A whirlwind of difficulty rages around my very being My problems drag me down, down amidst the waves drowning in sorrow feeling no hope There is no way out except to surrender submit to despair And then a hand a grab a pull I breathe relief as strong arms of love surround all that I am They yank me out of the depths into the calm where I can rest until the next storm
A wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lori Wall-Holloway’s poetry has appeared in several anthologies. She enjoys capturing moments in the lives of those she loves and hopes her work will give encouragement to subsequent generations.
