Don’t be sad for me for now I am at peace.
I’m walking and following God’s path he has for me.
I am sure he is proud and very pleased. 
I heard God call me, and he showed me his hand.
Surely, I chose to be with him because I am his biggest fan. 

I know I left many treasures on earth. 
Go ahead and use them because I know,
it will bring you some worth.
I have found freedom, where there is so much joy and love. 
One day, you will see a sign from a white dove.

Spending time with family and sharing a laugh and a kiss.
These wonderful things, I too will miss.
But not to worry, I will continue to be with you in spirit.
Just trust in God, he knows your ways and,
he knows when you get up and sit.

My life was filled with many blessings. 
I remember those days when we had family gatherings.
Now I am at a place where there is no pain or sorrow.
Be sure to still enjoy your days, even when there is a tomorrow.

Remember I will always be with you.
Not a day will pass by, not even a few.
One day I will see you again.
Where God’s love will never have an end. 

Monica Sanchez earned a Master’s Degree in English and Creative Writing with a concentration in Poetry from Southern New Hampshire University in 2016. She also graduated with honors and was a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. Monica was part of an editorial internship called Deliberate Magazine in 2017-2018 and published about 70 articles. In 2012, her poetry was selected into the editions called “International Who’s Who in Poetry” and “Starts in Our Hearts.” Monica’s poetry was also selected to be in the edition of “Eber & Wein Publishing, Best Poets of 2014.”
