by Mike Turner
Hurt people Hurt people And perhaps our turning the other cheek May be the only kindness they’ve ever known It many not lead them down a different path But perhaps bring a moment of respite To a life filled with sorrow and pain And are not each of us Deserving of a small bit of comfort and peace In this savage world? May we see that Christ’s instruction to us Is a simple one: Follow the Golden Rule Love One Another Thus becoming the embodiment Of Way, Truth and Light In this mortal realm As we follow His Path Homeward
