There are times when things seem bleak, When I know I’ve lost the light. I begin to feel I’m weak, Yet I know I have lost sight Of the hope I hold within Of the faith that gets me through Yet I will get through anything, If I put my trust in You. Please stay close when all seems lost, When each path shows resistance. Teach me to be near the cross, When You can sense my distance. When it is too hard to live, I will bow my head in prayer Knowing You will always give A reminder that You’re there. For no matter what I face, I do not need to cry. For I know that with God’s grace, I will always get by.
