To Make Christ Known

by Jason Kirk Bartley

I’d walk for many grueling miles,
bearing your pain,
the marks of my Savior,
with righteous gain.
I’ll learn to dance in all the storms of life,
despite the rain and all the strife,
I’ll keep on using my gifts
not for my worldly fame,
but here to come in
Jesus’s name.
I’d walk across the dark valleys so
dim,
just to get closer to Him.
I’ll never take for granted
each and every breath so dear,
but strive to find my purpose here.
I’d give all my money to the poor,
my seeds be sown forevermore,
Each day I’d take to find your grace,
and know I am headed towards a better place.
I’ll never think twice,
to exalt my Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ,
just so He’ll be known,
you see I’m never ever alone,
cleansed by His blood,
my name written down,
In His Holy presence,
I reverence God in whom I am found,
not for attention or man’s applaud,
but in hopes of one day to be with God,
in total joy,
and awesome bliss,
only because I know that I am His.
In my last waning moments
I’ll rejoice,
for making the right and crucial choice of
deciding to be His unique voice.
faultless to stand before His throne,
knowing I’ve done my best to make Him known.
