Hello Lord, (It’s Me Again)

by C.M. Dancha

I just put a call up to the Lord.
With folded hands, kneeling by my bed.
Looking for the words from my heart,
Not those in my head.
I need your help and seek to be led.
Lord, would you please send me a sign
That you're still on the line?
Please send me a sign. Oh, my Lord.

Hello Lord, it's me again.
Too much time has passed since we spoke last.
Why do I wait till my heart breaks
When a call is all it takes?
Hearing my pleas, all will be fine.
Lord, would you please send me a sign?
Please send me a sign. Oh, my Lord.

Asking for things I really don't need
by overstating their worth because of my greed.
Will I ever learn that salvation is in Heaven,
not earthly rewards from my brethren?
Oh, my Lord.

Years have passed, the end is near.
My frail body lies in bed with fear.
As my worldly problems fade away,
I'm not afraid to say,
It won't be long and then at
At Your feet, I'll kneel and pray. I'll kneel and pray.
Oh, my Lord.

Hello Lord, I’m home at last.
Not much time has passed since we spoke last.
Now my pains are lifted far away
And my soul is right here to stay.
Here in Heaven, I can start anew,
Lord, I'm so happy I'm with you.
I'm here with you, Lord,
So happy to say I'm here with you.
