Sometimes We Want a Sign

by Jason Kirk Bartley

Sometimes we want a sign,
before we will believe.
God's grace is there,
His power so real,
already to receive.
He has given us His own Son,
a miracle sent from the God, the one.
He walked this world without a sin,
bringing many back to Him.
Yet, we ask Him to see,
miracles of the past with His glory.
Can you still cleanse the lepers?
What about turn this water to wine,
and bring quick relief to this heart of mine?
He's already done so much,
all it takes is just the Master's touch,
to give us life everlasting,
and show He loves us very much.
He's willing to impart and create in us a new heart,
salvation for free to those who believe,
that's what He's done for you and me.
If we only seek and ask,
He's ready to let us know,
Salvation is His to give,
so eternal life we'll live,
from our hearts, we'll know.
Sometimes we want a sign,
and it's right before our eyes,
The Son of man has come,
to set us all free and dispel the devil's lies.
