by Mark Weinrich
Is it deliberate amnesia? In this quest for self-forgetfulness, the forsaken desires for reputation and success. Is it the mindset of losing oneself in serving others, knowing greater needs abound everywhere around us. Perhaps this is a quest, like Paul’s in counting all things lost, reliving again and again the gratitude we’ve discovered through Christ’s cross. What if like knights of old we lived in valor for the King, praying always, “Your Name and Your Renown are the desires of our heart.”*
