Jesus, You are my strength In the morning light. Jesus, You are my hope In the noontime bright. And when the day is done, and all is right, Jesus, You are my song In the night.
“Yet the LORD will command his loving kindness in the
daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and
my prayer unto the God of my life.” Psalm 42:8
Charles Shepherd is a retired rancher and former rural mail-carrier. He was born in 1932 and continues to live in the Missouri Ozarks where he grew up. Charles enjoys reading, bird-watching, playing the piano, and having breakfast with friends at a local cafe. Sometimes, he puts pen to paper and captures a fleeing thought.
I personally know Charles, and I can honestly say that he is one of my favorite human beings on this earth. The small exchanges we make in the morning at the local sonic where I work, have impacted more than I can put into words. I love reading his poetry and always look forward to seeing his smiling face in the morning!!!
