Our souls are starved spirits poverty stricken Favoured are we, Who desire to be filled by the helper Our conscious alive, yet some desire it's death Sorrowful of our sinful nature Favoured are we, The comforter will accompany us Meekness is our daily bread Submitted to His authority Favoured are we We will rule with Him Committed to this life-long journey Daily mercies we pray Favoured are we For our hunger will be filled We wear empathy In a cruel world Favoured are we, For we shall receive Mercy for mercy Once Condemned Grace saved us, Our debt paid on a cross Favoured are we, For we will sit in His Holy presence Daily we seek peace Renewal of mind, souls alight, reconciled Favoured are we, For we will be called sons of God Our ways contrary to the world Persecution is bound to come Favoured are we, Affirmed in our heritage in the Son.
