What we profess to be is not as important as what we do. The world obsesses over language void of action that impacts the listener's heart. We often speak of what we have done to impress and inflate our sagging self-esteem. However, what are we doing to advance the Kingdom of God? Faith is more than empty words. Faith urges us to put others first. Faith compels us toward obedience. Faith constraints our selfishness. Faith lifts us so we can lift others. Faith instills a spirit of grace in us. Faith ignores angry words. Faith heals the brokenhearted. Faith never tires doing what is right. Faith defends the defenseless. Faith pities those suffering. Faith seeks opportunities to serve. Faith does not stop after Sunday Services. Faith is not glibly quoting Scripture. Faith demands more than empty words. Faith calls us to be compassionate. Faith increases our capacity to love. Faith reconnects us with others. Faith brings the bond of peace. Faith obeys the commands of God.
