by Mike Turner
I faced adversity Sorrow Despair And turned to prayer Praying that my burdens be lightened Yet they remained So again I prayed This time I did not pray For my adversity to be vanquished My sorrow eased My despair lifted But rather That God’s Will be done Even should His Plan Not be revealed to me And while adversity Sorrow Despair Remained I found Strength In the facing of them And Peace In accepting That there was a reason For my circumstance And that God was in control Thus, my prayer was answered In the Faith God enabled Through His Grace
