Volume is power in this boisterous world
Glory bestowed to those who are seen
But what are we to make of the king
Jesus the quiet and humble Nazarene
He flipped over the tables of fortune
And ran away from fame
Disappeared from His followers
And urged for secrecy after healing the lame
Compassion became mysterious love
A simple colt and no defense
No fighting sword, no planned escape
A traitor’s kiss and a willing arrest
Equality with God He did not pursue
He sacrificed himself on a tree
While Ceasar declared, “I am God”
You shall worship only me
But Rome seemed to vanish
Ceasar nowhere to be found
The gentle, humble, and loving servant
Has donned the eternal, spectacular, crown
Volume is not power in this boisterous world
Glory bestowed to those who are unseen
So let us worship this mighty king
Jesus the quiet and humble Nazarene
