You sunk your claws into my chest—
And I let you.
I shuddered with each shallow breath,
And watched my skin turn blue.
You infected every corner of my mind
Because I gave you space.
You convinced me I was fine—
So I wouldn’t call His Name.
…But my God took upon my pain.
He entered through my twisted scars.
And when I sank in pride and grief,
He pressed me to His Heart.
I evict you from my soul!
My God reigns now once again.
He has made my heart His Home.
All glory is His till the end!
