If Jesus was Beside Me…

by Pat Severin

Life is full of changes, adjustments we must make
As step by step life leads us, but what path should we take?
Sometimes it will seem easy to choose the right direction,
But there’ll be times when we will need to make a GOD connection.
‘Cause that’s the secret formula, to pray and seek assistance,
And if the answer won’t come quick, we must employ persistence.

But most of all we have to stop and ask ourselves this question,
“If Jesus was beside me here, would I be His reflection?”
For He is always by our side, though we can’t see His face.
He watches every movement; He fills the smallest space.
So when the way seems cloudy, and choices don’t seem clear,
Remember, God sees all we do, for He is always near.
Take comfort that He’ll guide you and ne’er forget your name,
He loves you and He’s saved you; your souls for Heaven claimed!
