Please allow me more time To complete the work, You would have me do – Work to serve and assist those less fortunate, Work to help others view life fresh and anew. Please allow me more time To learn the patience, I so desperately need To handle and manage life’s ordeals Without bitterness or anger and to neither concede. Please allow me more time To look at life’s miracles with admiration And not view Your handiwork impassively; May I always marvel at your divine creation. Please allow me more time To express my love, my devotion, my gratitude So no one feels unloved, alone, or unappreciated And display to all a positive and caring attitude. Please allow me more time To always fight the good fight, To invest in a future that can’t be seen, To constantly do what gives You delight. Please allow me more time To do all I can on this earthly dome Until You determine my job is complete, And it is time for me to come home.
