Up there, on the mountain, hunger and thirst, He said. I’m not sure what that means. When I’m hungry, I eat. Too much. And empty water bottles fill the recycle bin. Maybe that’s why righteousness seems so distant. I’m too full of it! Or rather, too full of everything else but it. Lord, stop my mouth and let nothing else in that I may know true hunger and be filled with You and abundant life. Amen.
