by Mark Weinrich
The grinding weight of self-ambition
stressed me, stretched me, and pressed me,
into unbelievable shame.
I sank into the abyss of excuses
where silky strands of self-deception
became my jailer
as I struggled without the Lord.
Yet when I
like the disciples
chose Christ,
to simply
be with Him,
I discovered peace,
the joy of togetherness,
the power of fellowship,
the lightness of burdens
shared, the release
of losing myself in Christ
and finding my life
Wrapped In Timeless Hands.
…You have been raised with Christ…
For you died, and your life is now
hidden with Christ in God. When Christ,
who is your life, appears, then you also
will appear with Him in glory.
Colossians 3:1, 3 NIV
