Show Me Thy Ways

by Michael D. Young

Show me thy ways, Lord, and teach me thy path.
Keep me from error, and spare me from wrath.
Lead me in truthfulness, guide me thy way,
For I look up to thee all through the day.

Show me thy mercies, and kindness this hour,
Blot out the sins that encumbered my youth.
Help me to grow with the aid of thy pow’r,
So feed and sustain me with waters of truth.

Show me thy heart, Lord, and let me receive,
Help me to soften my heart as Thine own.
Kindle my faith so that I may believe,
And stay with me always, and leave not alone.
