Lord, I know you have a purpose for taking him away. But did it have to be today, Lord? Did it have to be today? Forgive me for my selfishness, You don’t owe an explanation. You are the great I AM, With no need for justification. I loved him deeply, but not for long That’s why I miss him so. I don’t know the point in saying this Because You choose our time to go. I said we're just getting started. A long, bright future up ahead. So when I awoke this morning I didn’t think he would be dead. In Thee, oh Lord, do I put my trust You do all things much better than us. You know exactly how I feel I know my broken heart You’ll heal. Although how You'll do it I cannot comprehend. So I’ll lean on Jesus and Your Spirit My holy Comforter and Friend. Lord, I know you have a purpose for taking him away. So I thank you, God, for loving me As I draw closer to you today.
