We are a fragrance of Christ to God
among those who are being saved…
2 Corinthians 2:15 (NASB)
She intruded where she wasn’t wanted yet Jesus defended her. He didn’t cast the outcast out. Was there any doubt after His parable, that He had the power to forgive any debt, any sin no matter how great others judged it to be. Twice Jesus smiled at her, His words like the purest of pure water, each word anointing, shimmering like a rainbow, “saved, forgiven, and go in peace.” She turned away, her face glowing like a moonrise. Her heart leaped, knowing her hair was drenched with the same scent that flooded the room, the same sweetness that perfumed Jesus’ feet. How could she ever wash her hair again? She broke into tears of joy. She bore the same fragrance as Jesus.
