Jesus didn’t just take time, He made time. Whether Nicodemus or the woman at the well whether blind Bartimaeus or Mary Magdalene, He served as if he or she were the one and only one He was sent to live and die for. How often have we cried, “Not now, Lord! Not him! Not her!” Then the Holy Spirit whispered, “this is the moment…” He or she may feel like a number. Have they ever known singular compassion? Compassion that moved cur Lord to action. Compassion that gives what they never thought or dreamed was possible.
