The Hallelujah Train

by Jason Kirk Bartley

The Hallelujah train
on a one-way track,
chugging with lots of Gospel steam,
There is no looking back.
Jesus cries, “All aboard.”
His voice is rather loud.
Ringing in the ears,
above the righteous crowd.
Coming around the bend,
Up and down steep hills,
There is no charge to stay.
He has paid the bill.
Further and further along,
Gospel songs can be heard,
There is a mighty fine anointing,
and preaching of the Word.
As she starts to slow down,
Our destination has been reached.
She pulls up to Heaven’s doors
As promised and was preached.
The prayers of the saints have been
answered and the fasts in secret have made it true.
What started out with Jesus being the answer
Has become saints displaying truth.
