Joseph was humiliated by his brothers and sold into slavery. Falsely accused and thrown into prison. He extended kindness to a desperate prisoner and was forgotten for years. Yet all that the world defines as misfortune was overturned. He was lifted from prison and presented in the palace. He explained Pharoah’s dream and was clothed like a king. Everything changed in one day, from a slave and prisoner to the governor of Egypt. When we remember Jesus’ death in the prison of our sin. When we claim and trust Him, one moment, one day, changes everything. We are lifted like Joseph, and we experience the dizzying transformation from slaves and prisoners to children and co-heirs with our King.
