Every drop of blood that was shed, Every tear He cried, He saw us in our hopeless condition, While He was crucified. Hanging from the cross, His arms opened wide, Lonely, forsaken, broken, He was crushed inside. He was no criminal, But He took His punishment well, He saved all humanity from the gulf of hell. After three days, He rose with victory over death, hell, and the grave, Proving to us all, He was mighty to save. Do not hang your heads, hold your chins up high. Cry out to Jesus in your circumstances, His redemption draws nigh. When we least expect, He’ll return for His redeemed. He’ll gather His children for eternity. Blessed be our crucified king.
