Offer From God

by Jason Kirk Bartley

There’s an offer from God,
and It still stands,
through the tests of time,
on His nail-scarred hands.
How He asks and asks,
and then He pleads,
trying to plant His precious seeds,
that will grow and bloom,
where He has planted,
a newborn in Christ,
a miracle birth,
the most important to this earth.
Circumstances will rage,
as the offer continues on,
through the obedience and sacrifice of God’s own Son.
His blood was shed with much suffering,
knowing one day that many would be made cleaned.
If we accept this offer,
that He’s presented.
There’ll be no death,
no hell to pay,
so I ask and plead with you,
trying to compel you this day,
your sins carried by the flood away.
On the ship of Zion, we retire,
with righteous men and women
with pure hearts and a holy fire.
Stand up all you Christians,
wake out of thy slumber,
It’s been a rough road that we’ve
had to encumber.
It’s time to roar.
time to claim the life,
so abundant and fulfilling,
take back our dignity,
the Lord so willing,
that we soar like eagles and fly.
Do not complain or bicker,
look toward the sky,
there are no limits,
to what we can do.
Follow our Savior as He leads
us through.
Display His power,
not just for show,
Do not keep it to yourselves,
let others know.
We will see Him as He is,
and the praises will fly,
in that meeting by and by.
