Life’s Too Short

by Pat Severin

This life is so fragile
But some never learn
That God’s always there
When for answers, you yearn.

Life’s trials and tests,
Such struggles as these,
Oft times find us helpless
And brought to our knees.

It’s there we belong
In frustration and worry,
For in this position
He’ll come in a hurry.

He’ll stretch out His hand
Offer comfort and strength,
For the size of our problems,
The width, breadth and length.

Though now we don’t know
Exactly His plan,
Someday he will tell us
So we’ll understand…

Why life is confusing
Gives no explanations,
And often is different
Than our expectations.

That’s why we must trust Him
For He’s always right.
Just ask and He’ll grant you
His strength for the fight.

And when troubles plague you,
Just ask Him to send…
His strength for the battles,
That worries may end.

He’s for you and with you,
And there for the asking.
He’s your Father God
And His love’s everlasting.
