I owe a debt I can never repay. Not now or any other day. Jesus died for me upon the tree. He took on himself my sins so I could be free. Free from sin, death, and the devil — those seemingly unbeatable foes. Jesus won the victory for me when from the grave, he arose. The devil comes in with condemnation like a flood. There is no condemnation for me because I have been washed clean by the blood. All the promises of the Bible are true. My sin debt has been paid in full, nothing is due. Jesus left the glories of heaven by his birth. And died to give me abundant life, not just when I get to heaven, but while here on earth. When I need help, he is always faithful. And for that, I will be forever grateful. Even though before I came to Jesus, I was wild. I am now his greatly loved and blessed child. Because of all this and more, I owe a debt I can never repay. So I should bend my will his way. It is pride which keeps me from bending my will. So I need to remember every day what Jesus did on Calvary’s hill.
