It is ever the shock,
the ugly surprise.
When we find ourselves
lost in our lives.
Christ is ever seeking.

When pride has 
squandered all self-esteem
and robbed the soul
of hope and dream.
Christ is ever seeking.

When circumstance
through fear and fret
have buried the will
with emotional debt.
Christ is ever seeking.

When hearts clamor
with condemnation,
through the emptiness
of isolation.
Christ is ever seeking.

When all we see
is worthlessness
Christ will ever
and always find us
priceless.
