Fractured Broken Hope Deferred Slivers of my life Lay strewn around As from a shattered mirror Beauty is reflected From what has transpired When light shines on the glass Yet shards of dreams Remain unfulfilled Untouched amongst splinters Former goals impossible To rectify appear gone Unless the Lord repurposes Old aspirations Into new beginnings
A wife, mother and proud grandmother, Lori Wall-Holloway resides in Pasadena, California, where her poetry appears in several of the area’s anthologies. She enjoys capturing moments in the lives of those she loves and hopes her work will give encouragement to subsequent generations.
