Lighthouse brightness beams
through perseverance
illuminating the reefs of haste.

Expediency tempts us
chance the shortest route. 
But we have vision steady 
and secure to stay the course, 
for we know our Captain’s 
faithful hands.

Temporary success will never
satisfy, no matter how the world
or others reject us. Nothing
compares to the goodness we
will discover by holding true.

No matter how immediacy
assaults our path
we have the assurance 
in the light of Christ’s passion 
and perseverance, the finish 
is worth the wait.
