In this day of haste,
it is easy to forget
and underestimate
the investment patience
bears up from the ground.
With inattention
a fertile place becomes
habitation of weeds?

What a waste, 
for Jesus described 
good soil
as a place of miracles
where abundance
springs 30, 60, and 100
fold. For fertile ground 
is even more
it is the condition
of a believer’s heart
free of weeds and
ready to receive
the miraculous power
He has implanted
in every seed.
