The Other Boats

by Mark Weinrich

Leaving the crowd, they took Him
along with them in the boat and
other boats were with Him. Mark 4:36

Panic overwhelms
during the storms of life
when peril convinces
that we are the only ones
in need of salvation.
“Teacher, do you not care
that we are perishing?”

We, like the disciples, forget
this journey is not just about us.
Jesus in compassion knows
those traveling alongside, those
struggling and fighting for faith
in the midst of the same storm.

Later, the disciples
remembered the other boats
those Jesus delivered when
He calmed the storm.
May we be ever mindful
that we are on this journey
together. Our rescue
can bring the deliverance
of many others.
