You can write great music You can sing love songs You can play piano All day or all night long You can strum on your guitar You can beat a big bass drum You can clash the cymbals loud Or just sit and softly hum But is your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life? Do you know you are one of Jesus’ own? If the answer’s not “Yes” If you have to second-guess Nothing else matters Nothing else matters You can write a thrilling novel You can author your memoir You can ghostwrite books for others So no one knows just who you are You can pen poetic verses And majestic lines of prose Get your byline in newspapers Or script big hit TV shows But is your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life? Do you know you are one of Jesus' own? If the answer’s not “Yes” If you have to second-guess Nothing else matters Nothing else matters Charles Studd wrote, “Only what’s done for Christ will last.” It’s just as true now as in ages past. Famous or unknown, rich or poor The only way to Heaven Is Jesus Christ: the open Door. Is your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life? Do you know you are one of Jesus’ own? If the answer’s not “Yes” If you have to second-guess Nothing else matters Nothing else matters.
