by Audrey Samuel
My soul is exposed Uncovered by life's dismay Peeled gently, sliced thinly Deseeded and juiced. My heart is bare Undressed and in a mess Stripped of joy, love, and peace Left plain and unadorned. My mind is flooded with waters I have drowned in my own tears But God, through His grace, Promises to make me whole again.
Audrey Samuel is a poet based in Dallas, Texas. She began writing as a teenager and has submitted her collection of poems to two publications. She hopes to one day have a published poetry collection.
