My Helper

by Emmanuel G G Yamba

Who can tell the future?
Order me to run after you
So you can feed me with future truth
That will hinder me from errs
And cancel all my mess

Do you know what shall become of the morrow
I'm ready to take keen notes
I don't want mine to be full of sorrow
That will make my life feeble
I want to avoid trouble

I will wait till you hand over the script
Else I won't know my role in the play
Appearing dead on the stage
Is the reward for being own playwright
And I refuse the victim's story

My decision isn't final
Till it possesses your signature
I script myself of the power
To decide my own future
So be my leader, Oh my helper 🙏🏿
