by Kathryn Sadakierski
I try to be strong, To be like You, To let shine in me The luminous love of Christ, The balm of kindness That soothes my every excruciating pain, Quieting the ever-present whisper of an ache Hollowing my heart, But I can only lean On Your strength, Lord, Listen to what You teach Instead of trying to find All the answers myself. I keep searching within, But You point my gaze Back to Your eternally loving face. When You work in me, I am not irreparable, I am redeemed, And in the unquestionable, irrepressible Magnitude of your joy, I am free.
