Put me in a giant slingshot and pull it back as far as it can go, then shoot me high above the tallest redwoods.
Place me in a giant catapult and fling me toward Heaven for a taste of what I pray lies ahead.
Make me the arrow in a giant bow and send me soaring into the azure sky, so birds wonder how I arrived.
After each launch, I will float back to Earth and land on a dusty plain, gently, because the Lord God is merciful. He formed me from the dust, and to dust, I will return.
Scripture References (KJV):
Genesis 2:7 KJV
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
Ecclesiastes 3:20
“All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.”

A beautiful, mystical prose poem.

Compelling imagery, Dee. After the dust, that final trip to eternity. “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.”
The Apostle Paul, as recorded in I Corinthians 2:9
