by Mark Weinrich
When the churning atmosphere of my trial declares all is lost, and my cargo of hope has been cast into the sea. One thought, one action breaks through the fog. I remember who is in the boat with me and I call out to Him. The height of waves or depth of impossibility make no difference to Him. His power of peace transcends the weight, the storm’s darkness. And like a lake mirrored with mountains, my heart is calmed.
Mark Weinrich lives a creative life as a writer, photographer, musician, and artist—all wrapped together in an outdoorsman. He is a retired pastor and nine-year cancer survivor.
