When I Depart

by Winnifred Eze

When I shall breathe my last
And from my body, I depart,
Then nothing else shall really matter
But to render my life's account to the Master.

And every statement engraved on my tomb,
Shall mean nothing to the God of all Truth.
For by His standard, I will be judged
And not by what the world claims is right or wrong.

Eze Winnifred is a creative writer and poet who lives in Nigeria. She enjoys writing rhymes and helping other writers become better at what they do. She is a Law student, and also enjoys knitting, reading and viewing arts.
